Gingerbread Afternoon

Awhile back I wrote about buying gingerbread graham crackers to make gingerbread houses.

Grandma, Big Girl and I had a nice, snowy, lazy afternoon to put them together. Nothing special or fancy about them but the three of us had a good time. We used a lot of halloween candy up too.

I could have spent less by making my own gingerbread and using what candies we had on hand. But, by buying the boxes of crackers and spending a dollar on mints the total was $5.00 for these three houses. I don't know if it will be a yearly tradition but I know that we had fun and it might be one of those fun memories that my Big Girl cherishs for years.

These are great! I do a gingerbread house party with one of my friends. We just buy the graham crackers, frosting, and then everyone brings a bag of candy to share. It is such a fun evening for everyone and so inexpensive!!

Thanks for sharing your picture!
