The Longest Afternoon

The time change is killing me. I feel like it's about two hours later than it actually is. The good news is that I've been early for everything. The bad news is that it's going to be dark by the time Sweetie gets home.

Anyway, how did we kill an hour of this chilly but very sunny and nice afternoon?

Took a walk around the neighborhood. We delivered a bag of clothes to a neighbor/friend. And hunted for pretty leaves, acorns, and pinecones. Nature's bounty served to entertain my children for at least half of the last hour. The Little Guy especially enjoyed the nutty crunch of the pinecone scales.

Here they are enjoying a snickerdoodle after our long walk.

Here's the 'fort' that Big Girl made with some leftover cement and sticks from when she 'helped' her Daddy get ready for our new fence. She decorated it with the pretty leaves, pinecones, and acorns we collected on our walk.
