Pancake Syrup Recipe
I've been trying out syrup recipes for months and this last one was a keeper. My husband always told me to ask his mom for her recipe and for some reason I resisted. Perhaps I wanted to do it on my own and have him like mine better?
Well, anyway, I went ahead and got the recipe and I am not disappointed. It does take a lot of maple extract. Feel free to reduce it to taste.
Alice's Pancake Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. maple flavoring.
Boil hard for one minute.

We've been making a similar recipe for many years, and we love it. The kids actually prefer it to store-bought syrup!
